AHMED ALOM   PIANO

Born in Havana, Cuba in 1998, Ahmed Alom started his musical studies at the Manuel Saumell and Amadeo Roldan conservatories in Havana. Winner of the First Prize at the National Chamber Music Competition, UNEAC Piano Competition in Havana and the Maria Clara Cullell Piano Competition in Costa Rica (the youngest winner at age 14), Ahmed also won prizes at the Yamaha sponsored Cuevas International Piano Competition in Mexico, The New York Bradshaw and Buono Competition and the Slatkin/Composers Competition at Manhattan School of Music. Ahmed has appeared in festivals in Canada, Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica and in Cuba. He is a current semifinalist of the New York Chopin Kosciuszko Competition and he is pursuing a Bachelor of Music at the Manhattan School of Music, as a scholarship student of Dr. Solomon Mikowsky.
